Content creation and audience promotion

Two useful kinds of collaboration, with different deliverables and expectations.

Content production

A creator makes photographs or video for a business to use on its own channels. The creator does not have to publish to their audience unless that is included in the agreement. Evaluate their portfolio and production skills.

Audience promotion

A creator publishes content to their own audience. Discuss audience relevance, language, location, post format, timing and the insights that will be shared afterwards.

Agree reuse separately

Publishing on a creator’s profile does not automatically define every way a business may reuse the content. Record the agreed channels, duration, territory and advertising permissions.

Measure what you agreed

For production, review the quality and delivery of the assets. For promotion, review the agreed audience metrics. Neither type of collaboration guarantees sales or viral reach.

Put a good idea into practice.

Your next collaboration starts with a connection.
